Venus Beauté Institute, done up in soft pink and greets customers with a tinkling chime, is a place where reality is kept at bay. Women come here in quest of the secrets to youth and beauty. Owned by the elegant Nadine, its team of beauticians include the disillusioned 40-something Angèle (Nathalie Baye) and two 20-somethings: the moody Samantha and the dole-eyed Marie (Audrey Tautou). While Nadine decides to give in and date her stalker Antoine, Marie has to deal with the courtship from a suave, older gentleman.
